Chelsey Wright

Research Analyst
Chelsey Wright serves as the resident correctional analyst for the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections (LDPSC). Her work focuses on improving LDPSC’s preclassification and data reporting process to ensure that people are not incarcerated past their release dates. Previously, Chelsey was a data and policy analyst for the City of New Orleans’ Office of Criminal Justice Coordination, where she created data dashboards to inform the public and criminal justice practitioners on what was occurring at the Orleans Parish Jail. She also supported criminal justice agencies with capacity building for more efficient data sharing between organizations. Chelsey received her BA in criminal justice from Loyola University New Orleans and her MA in international criminology from the University of Sheffield.
